No vein repeats itself. Alabaster carries within it the signature of time — a piece, a character, a light. No molds. No repetition. Natural alabaster does not do the same thing twice.
Placed on a console or bedside table, BESMA illuminates a block of alabaster from within. Unlit, it remains a sculpture.
When lit, the block glows from within: the veins appear in silhouette, and the translucency of the alabaster transforms a simple light bulb into a warm halo. Nothing jars the eye; the light is held by the stone.
Alabaster is never the same twice. The veins, the warmth of the tone, the way the light diffuses through it: it all depends on the original block. Your piece will be unique in the truest sense of the word. This model is available in 2 sizes, to be chosen according to the size of the room.
The material · Alabaster
A natural, translucent stone. Switched off, it stays matte; switched on, light passes through it and reveals its veins.
From quarry to workshop.
Cut, turned, then sanded: the thinner the wall, the softer the light.
A soft, dry cloth. No water and no cleaning products.
Yes. Every vein pattern is different. Yours will have its own character.
By day, its matte texture creates a soft presence. At night, when lit, it becomes an organic source of light. Two objects in one.
