No vein repeats itself. Alabaster carries within it the signature of time — a piece, a character, a light. No molds. No repetition. Natural alabaster does not do the same thing twice.
Forget strict geometric shapes. The MAART wall sconce is an ode to nature, drawing inspiration directly from wabi-sabi aesthetics. Designed like a rock formation climbing up your walls, it brings together genuine raw stone fragments held in place by delicate brass rivets. It is a fascinating sculptural piece that instantly adds texture, relief, and character to a luxury bathroom, hallway, or on either side of a bed.
Excellence lies in the material. Each "scale" of the MAART is cut from a block of genuine natural Spanish alabaster. Far from industrial molding, the contours of these stones are left raw and irregular. Their veining, opacities, and small imperfections tell a millennia-old mineral story, making each light fixture a strictly unique work of art that is impossible to reproduce.
Rather than projecting light forward, the integrated SMD LED technology is concealed behind the stone fragments. This ingenious backlighting highlights the natural translucency of the alabaster while casting a majestic warm, diffused halo on your wall. From the delicate 1-light version to punctuate a space, to the monumental 9-light column (78 cm) to dress a large empty wall, the MAART sculpts a deeply enveloping and soothing atmosphere.
The material · Alabaster
A natural, translucent stone. Switched off, it stays matte; switched on, light passes through it and reveals its veins.
From quarry to workshop.
Cut, turned, then sanded: the thinner the wall, the softer the light.
A soft, dry cloth. No water and no cleaning products.
Yes. Every vein pattern is different. Yours will have its own character.
By day, its matte texture creates a soft presence. At night, when lit, it becomes an organic source of light. Two objects in one.
