Two ceramic cylinders, a brass arm, nothing more. TURTIO comes down to three elements and makes no attempt to seem like more.
The two shades shine in opposite directions: the light washes the wall upwards and downwards instead of forming a single hot spot. You see the wall light up, not the bulb.
The speckled glaze is applied by hand: the dark flecks never fall in the same place twice, and that is what gives the ceramic its character. Alone at the head of a bed, as a pair around a mirror, or repeated along a hallway, your piece will be like no other.
