No vein repeats itself. Alabaster carries within it the signature of time — a piece, a character, a light. No molds. No repetition. Natural alabaster does not do the same thing twice.
Un dôme posé sur un fût, un disque au sol : RILKOA n'ajoute rien. Le galbe de la coupole et la verticale du pied suffisent à tenir l'objet, et c'est cette économie qui lui donne son allure de pièce d'atelier plutôt que de luminaire de série.
L'albâtre ne renvoie pas la lumière, il la laisse passer. Le dôme s'allume de l'intérieur et devient lui-même la source : nappe basse, chaude, posée sur la console ou la table de chevet sans jamais éblouir celui qui la côtoie.
Le dôme est taillé dans un bloc d'albâtre naturel : les voiles minéraux et les veines ambrées ne se répètent jamais d'un exemplaire à l'autre. En paire de part et d'autre d'un lit, seule sur un buffet, ou en bout de bibliothèque.
